Want to improve your life? The first thing to focus on is decluttering. When you declutter your life, you will feel the weight of your clutter disappear causing you to feel lighter, happier and more fulfilled than ever before. 1. Do you know why you are here?
Do you know why you are on Earth? Sadly, most people don’t because they are bogged down with their day to day crazy busy schedules and trying to keep up with work, family, friends, and clutter!
Grab a piece of paper and a cup of coffee or tea and brainstorm what you want to accomplish during your life. Ask yourself things like, “What am I passionate about?”
Once you know your life’s purpose, you’ll have a whole new outlook. Your energy level will go up, and you will feel like you can do anything!
2. Stop messing around with your health
If you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything. Make sure you see your doctor when you are supposed to, try to eat healthier when you can, wear sunscreen, move your body more, and learn ways to control stress. Don’t let a health scare jump you into action. Get started right now.
3. Get your beauty rest
I am not going to lie…I love to sleep. Why do I feel guilty if I need a nap on the weekends or want to sleep in a bit? Society looks up to people that can get by on minimal sleep. Don’t be ashamed to get the sleep you need. You will be a better person for it. Look at sleep as your reward for a day well spent.
4. Practice gratitude
This is a game changer. Think about it. You can say, “I hate my job” or “I am lucky I have a job.” You can say, “I am so overweight and will never be thin” or “I have some weight to lose, but I am still a great person and will take off this weight the right way…slow and steady”.
Challenge: For one day, turn your negative thoughts into positive ones. Then prepared to be amazed!
5. Work on something you are passionate about
I don’t know about you, but when I am eating healthy, exercising, and working on my declutter goals, I am happier and less irritated. When I am sitting around in a food coma, still in my PJs and surrounded by a cluttered mess, every little thing sets me off.
Pick something you want to work on that you are passionate about and work on it each day. Then watch how little things that used to annoy you don’t seem so bad anymore.
6. Happiness is a choice
This is another game changer. Maybe your kids drive you crazy and your spouse too? But you know what, a lot of people have lost kids and spouses and would give anything to have them back. Always focus on what you have rather than what you don’t have.
7. Stop wasting precious time
Stop obsessing over having the perfect house, perfect body, etc. These things don’t matter when it comes to the true meaning of life. It is so easy to forget that we are only here on Earth for a limited period. Don’t take any more of your precious time for granted.
8. Always be learning
Is there something you have always wanted to learn or do you want to go back to college? How about taking an online course on something you are passionate about? Watch your happiness and mood spike up when you challenge yourself to learn something new.
9. Focus on what you can control
You can’t control if someone likes you, but you can control how you feel about yourself. When you focus on the things, you can control, things that are out of your control bother you less. Stop worrying about what others have and what others are doing and only focus on what you have and what you are doing.
10. Do something you love every day
What do you love to do? Do you even know? Did you know that you do not need to wait until the weekend to have fun? Go ahead and go out to eat on a Monday, see a movie on a Tuesday, read a good book on Wednesday, and get a massage on Thursday. You see where I am going here.
