Declutter Your Life QuickStart Guide
If you’re like most of us, your current life is surrounded by too much physical, digital and paper clutter, and your schedule is overloaded with to-dos and commitments. You know you do not enjoy living like this but where do you even start with decluttering?

- Declutter just one thing.
Look at just one thing and ask yourself, “Do I even use this? Do I need this? Do I LOVE this?” If the answer to any of these three questions is “no” then it is time to part ways.
- Declutter a little bit more every day.
Once you’ve gotten started with your decluttering, keep moving forward with a few more items each day. It is better to do a little each day than try to do it all at once and give up. Remember, if you declutter one item per day…that is 365 items in one year!
- Declutter your commitments.
Protect your valuable time at all costs. You do not have to say “yes” to every party or volunteer for every school function. Schedule “me” time in pen!
- Declutter your digital stuff.
Are you overwhelmed with emails, articles to read, Pinterest posts? Be picky about the things you save or subscribe to. Don’t be afraid to delete everything and start over. It is extremely rare that you will not be able to find information when you are ready to consume it.
- What to do when other people in your home are not into decluttering.
Just focus on your own clutter, commitments, and digital stuff. Your household will love how awesome your space looks and how much happier you are. It will rub off on them and they just might catch the decluttering bug.
